Glasgow 2014

Preparations are going well for the 20th Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow in 2014.

'17 Sports, 11 days of competition, 1 host city'


I took this picture of the venue for the Lawn Bowls. Its coming along well and should look quite spectacular, as when playing in one direction they will have Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in the background, and when playing in the other direction it will be Glasgow University.

I had no options for composition or angle for this picture. Its surrounded by metal fencing but a couple of bars have been bent slightly (not me!) allowing a camera lens to point through.
