Olives

We said goodbye to a friend today, who is returning to the UK after his holiday... this is the olive tree in his villa's front garden. Cyprus has lots of olive trees, and they are extremely hardy. You can't eat olives straight off the tree, as they need to be cured first. I've looked into how to do it, but when every supermarket sells every kind of olive you could want, it's hard to be bothered to do it yourself!
