The Cathedral's central tower is the highest point in the city. Over the years it has sustained much damage from lightning strikes, extreme weather, and such. But nothing, nothing like this.

Tall, solid masonry buildings supported by their own weight did not fare well in the 'quake. This is one of the intermediate pinnacles on the roof of the central tower.
