Mombassa, Kenya...Day 3. (Safari Day 2)
Well after having the whole day on Safari yesterday, and staying in a Lodge in the middle of the Reserve. We were up at 6am to go out on again before breakfast. Unfortunately we didn't see a whole lot, but got some great shots of a herd of elephants, who were just a few feet from us at one point. Not a very wise thing as it turns out, you kind of forget that they are completely in the wild.
We were also very close to seeing a Cheetah get it's breakfast before us. It was stalking it's prey but was gradually moving further and further away from us. I got the smallest of glimpses through my binoculars.
This was truly an amazing experience, and one I will never forget, from seeing all these unbelievable animals in the wild so close up, and staying overnight in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. Watching the sunrise, and sunset and sharing drinks with friends under the stars.
Life has been a little rough of late for me, but days like these can really change you as a human being.
