'Turn the taps off'

Tattoo - from the Dutch for turn the taps (as in beer taps) off. You heard here it first.

It was very good show, very slick and with more music and not as many displays as I remember. But best IT DIDN'T RAIN.

Thought of #1 son while I was watching. He's twice done Tattoo duty - once escorting the performers to and from Redford on the coaches and once doing back stage duty. Then there was 2008 (?) when he was based in the 'Big Hoose' and on Tattoo nights once they were in they were in - and once they were out they were out. The joys of living in the Mess.

You can see it on Sunday 28th (if you live in Scotland), on Monday (elsewhere in the UK) and probably on New Year's Day if you're in Australia or NZ.
