Burst

I think my appendix must've burst at about 8am this morning, when the slight abdominal pain I'd had the previous day became a proper ABDOMINAL PAIN. Ouch.

Between my GP having a feel, saying "probably a burst appendix - you need to get to the hospital," and some surgeons having a feel and saying "probably a burst appendix - let's get in and whip it out, old son" there were hours of waiting and inconclusive tests. But hey, it's only poison spreading round my body, right?

Very relieved to get rid of the toxic little devil, and everyone at the hospital was fantastic. It strikes me that anaesthetists, in particular, are a very happy bunch. Maybe it's the laughing gas.
