First photobook done...
I put together my first photobook and had it printed. It was of our day at the Rhino and Lion Nature reserve. It came out nicely and I'm very happy with it. One copy is a gift for Simon who came along that day. Si is currently playing for one of the Wheelchair Basketball teams here in South Africa.
It was a harsh weekend in South Africa for our Rhino - with the discovery of a Rhino who was killed for it's horn and another barely hanging onto life at the moment - his horn was taken and he was left to die. The third Rhino (daughter of the one who is barely alive) was darted but was saved they think by the an anti-poaching unit who might have disturbed the poachers. She was given an antidote and still has her horns. The photos had me in tears, hubby was trying to convince me not to look at them but the sad reality is that poaching is very real. As of tonight he was still hanging in there but the vets feel it is touch and go.
