I did have yet another yet another lorikeet pic (of my friend mr hanging-around-on-the-shrubs-outside-emergency-department ... yep it was there again) but decided to go with something (literally) darker. ;-)

I'm quite pleased at how clear this was for a handheld 1" exposure. I then added some tone mapping (not that I understand it fully) with a gradient mask centred around the far end of the path.
