Adventures of an Amateur Band
Our drummer, Shannon, has a little green Barina that he drives us around in. It's a little rough around the edges to put it nicely but she's been going strong for years and years. Only problem is we can't seem to get anywhere without being pulled over by the cops. Last night was no different; on our way to a gig in Brisbane we saw the familiar flashing lights in the mirror. We had no tail lights, smoke was pouring out of the brakes and our registration had expired just a few days ago. Poor old Shannon copped a hefty fine but he took it well and we were given a permit to drive to our guitarist's house which was just up the road.
The show itself went really well, I had a lot of fun on stage. Afterwards, someone was nice enough to lend us their old station wagon so that we could get home (an hour's drive away). Problem was it was so late that all the gas stations were closed and we were running on empty for about 50km driving through torrential rain while heavy winds tried their best to blow us off the highway. It all was looking pretty uncertain there for awhile but me made it!
As for the photo it's a close up of my bass guitar.
