Flying Low

Standing by the river this morning, I was blipping this heron when he suddenly took wing and flew low over the river. I had the camera set for continuous shooting, so I held the shutter button down as he flew past me and got several decent exposures. I'm not very good at photographing birds in flight, but guess I will learn. It's not hard to see why these birds are called great blue herons.
