A peck of (not so pickled) peaches
This Sunday our trip to the Fruit Farm didn't get rained out, and we came home with a peck of peaches. It reminded me of the old tongue twister "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, " only in our case it was unpickled peaches, not pickled peppers. If you wanted to be punny, you could say that our drive out to Patterson's was fruitful.
The peaches are tasty and juicy, and, as you can see, so ripe we need to eat them in a hurry. I took a half dozen over to our neighbor this evening, and she promised to make a peach cobbler. Yum!
Weather report: In a word, today's weather was wonderful. Low 70s and low humidity. No complaints from this blipper.
