Tashi....

Tashi is one of a pair of 6 month old silver labs....they are totally adorable!

I got to spend a day and a half at Karen and Rod's cottage up near Parry Sound. It was a totally awesome experience! Having spent the previous few days in towns and cities (having a great time!)....i was craving the quiet and beauty of the cottage by the water experience! And it was wonderful! Karen is another one of my most cherished and beloved Muskoka friends...our lives have been intertwinned for over 20 years and we share a deep connection.....she is another one i miss not being able to just pull up a chair, open a bottle of wine and natter with!

We had a splendid time on my first evening....just her and i and little Tashi....lying under the stars on her dock! Unfortunately, in the middle of the next day, i did a silly thing and tripped as i was walking from the dock to the path....ending up with a very badly sprained ankle! I was very well taken care of by Karen and Rod who iced me, fed me and generally looked after me! So the next day and a half were basically spent with my ankle wrapped in ice and up on a stool!!! But it was still glorious to be in this little piece of heaven!

We enjoyed such a lovely time together....reading separately but side by side....adoring the 2 dogs....both of whom had just had surgery...a long and involved story for another time and place....swimming in the lake, and a breathtaking sunset ride on their little motor boat....i got some awesome shots of the water, shimmering in the golden light of sunset....but this shot of Tashi took my heart!
