Home with the Armadillo

Today, after a week of illness that kept me in bed, I went outside and discovered four armadillos. I knew they had been nesting under the house, as evidenced by my crumbling structure no doubt...but have never seen them before.

Sat down to photo them, and realized they must be too young to be out of the nest, as why else would they all come and sit on my lap and generally hang out.

I must say they are very soft to pet them, unlike what I would expect. Not everyone would agree, but I think that they are very sweet and very adorable.


The energy is running low, but I am getting better, and hope to get to enjoying
not only looking at, but getting to comment on, photos very soon.
