Visitor in the night

I woke quite early this morning after a restless night. I made a cup of tea, fed Bomble and then returned to drink it in bed.

I noticed this insect had arrived during the night and rested on the wall above my head. I quickly grabbed a couple of shots despite the poor illumination, and had to up the ISO, perhaps a tad too much. I've also cropped it quite heavily and shifted it through 90 degrees.

I have no idea what this insect is, although I am presuming it is some type of grasshopper. I am glad we get to see all the volunteering moths and other flying beasties, but I don't know why this hopper should want to climb up so high into the house. Perhaps it is on holiday too.
