Browned Bird

&, No - it's not food related before you two say anything.

Here's one of my tame herons posing proudly before the one time palace and now officer training school. I've done something similar to this back in December, in the snow but I thought I'd put the sneek zoom to the test and try again. The sneek zoom got wet knees but a reasonable pic. The light was bouncing off the water right on him (her?) while he stood close to the shadow. I went with B&W and dark sepia (again) because the background colours were too distracting. The full sized original is awesomely sharp but loses meaning at Blip size unfortunately and I didn't want to crop this composition (any more than I accidently have).
