When I was 6 I drew this SP

I found 2 old school news books of mine from when I was 6 at my Mum's the other day......

The news stories included :-

1) That I was to be 7 in June!
Sadly for the happy little girl in the drawing her Mum and Dad split up when she was 7 :-(

2) The TV breaking down with a picture of me in tears

3) Getting a new TV with BBC1. BBC2 and ITV but still only Black and White

4) The puppies being born (we had a Pyrenean Mountain Dog called Tasha) 12 in all, 2 born dead, 2 died later and 8 survived, I remember it so well, my Mum had the little sick puppies on the open door of the oven to keep them warm - it opened forwards - on hot water bottles with doll's blankets on them but they didn't make it...

5) That I had been to the coast and filled my pockets with shells!



I am feeling very nostalgic at the moment because I am having a major clear out, 'things' are so evocative aren't they....
