Thank heaven....

Scott is our office IT chappie. He appears instantly when needed. He works miracles - including battling with the wily ways of software people who keep trying to find methods to push themselves where they are not wanted.

This has been a challenging month for him. If I had a chapter in my autobiography free I could tell you about the leading UK computer supply people who sold us as pristine a machine that had not only been pre-used but also had the previous customer's data on it. In spite of pressure from ourselves and Trading Standards they just stonewalled, and finally in desperation we accepted a replacement machine and 10% compensation. I know - far short of what was due, and far short of the costs of legal process too. But life is just too brief for this nonsense.

I saw that Scott was slightly out of focus and the machines were sharp. But then that is the mark of a good IT specialist!
