Celebration?

Thought I would splash out and have an ice-cream.

Last night the judge at the camera clubs annual competition was not good - he was inconsistant and showed a distinct bias towards his pet subject no matter what the technical quality.

Neither of my shots fell within his prefered category.

Because it was the annual competition and the top print gets a rather snazzy trophy there had to be an outright winner so when he announced the 2nd person to get top marks there was a buzz went around. When he announced that the last print also got top marks the place just collapsed.

I nearly wet myself and my sons jaw hit the floor - that last one was mine and the 2nd one had been his - so he thought he had beaten me no matter what.

At the end of the night the judge settled on mine as being the outright winner - so that means I have won the trophy 5 out of the last 6 years..............I seriously wonder about the mentality of some of these judges.

The boy is gutted - all he wanted to do this year was beat me.
