Feathers.....

I wasn't sure about blipping this...............

When I ventured out into the garden there was a dead starling on the lawn, a victim, no doubt of one of my cats.

I always make sure I bury the cats' victims and give them a special little send off............even starlings deserve to be sent off with dignity! When I picked this one up to take him to the burial ground (under the lemon tree!) I noticed his absolutely beautiful feathers - such gorgeous colours (compare totreegonk's starling !) which you never really notice when they're squawking around the garden and creating a riot. The colour and texture were too much to ignore.........

Hope no-one is offended by such a macabre blip.
