Mr Sand man

Another great day in Devon. My dad and I left hubby and the kids at the lodge and visited Clovelly in the morning. I remember it vaguely from when I was a child but the kids weren't keen on visiting and I'm glad we left them at home as they would have been bored! I enjoyed the views and the quaint streets but I must admit I was a bit disappointed. I didn't like all the bunting they had all around the shops and houses as I think it made them look a bit tacky! There was one lovely shop/art gallery but not much else to do really, oh apart from the silver shop on the car park that is!

After dinner we visited Bude. The sea was very choppy but my youngest two went in anyway in just their shorts - no wetsuits for my boys! My eldest has now declared that he hates the beach so he went to play crazy golf with his dad. While on the beach we made a Sand man/monkey. We'd seen a monkey earlier on in the week and my dad tried to replicate it by drawing the outline on the beach. My youngest and myself then dug around it in a race against the tide coming in (we won - just).
