Little Blue Heron

Today I was out by the pond stalking a gator. He was very cooperative and I was close, but then I started stalking a heron who surprised me by catching a frog while I was clicking away. The heron flew up the pond with it kicking in his mouth. He smashed it around a bit and washed in the water then swallowed it whole and kicking down the hatch!

such fun. Hope gator comes back, we have had lots of rain after a dry spell and wildlife is showing up again.
