light!

Another beautiful hilltop village, another partly ruined castle another chance to capture light!

Visited Najac, which was truly magnificent. The castle was so wonderful to explore and the sense of history mind blowing. We climbed 110 steps (kids counting!) to the top and the views were wonderful. It was my most enjoyable day taking photos - we also managed our one and only family shot there but I can't resist the light - maybe because I appreciate it just so much...

The night was also fantastic as we enjoyed a street market - good food and beer, set in the sweet old quarter of a small town, church ruins as a back drop, balmy temperatures and live music - could one ever ask for more?

By the way it is a baby doll that is sticking out of my child's top - not some extra appendage she has picked up on her travels!
