Land Of the Giants

Out in the forest today - it was still very humid despite the best efforts of a thunderstorm - and found that there were plenty of mushrooms to be had. In about an hour we had nearly of kilo of good mushrooms. These will be used in tomorrow's dinner. I'm looking forward to more mushroom hunts.

I also spent a good few hours working on my aussprachen (pronunciation) - this was going quite well until, for some reason, I just could not do anything correctly at all. Brot is a simple word I have no problems with it. Or rather had no problems until today. Today, something was off. I couldn't get that out of the red at all (under 20% correct). I had similar problems with "ist" and "es". Very demoralising.

We were out to dinner tonight and everything was in German. And I spoke and listened and understood. That made me feel a lot better.

Today's song is from a 1965 film called C.I.D.. I've heard it in two other films but I would really like to see the original.
