Blue Damselfly

Went for a pre-Sunday roast walk at Plumpton Rocks, near Harrogate.

Lovely calm lake with fabulous rocks and woodland... we even came across an enormous pig snuffling acorns - all of these things were deserving of a blip photo, but I settled on this damselfly. There were so many of them whizzing about at the edge of the lake, I am amazed that one sat still long enough for me to work out how to snap it.

Great place on a sunny Sunday morning but I think it would be very spooky to go there on a misty winter's day.
