It's more fun when it's a surprise.

I remember buying albums back in the day. Things like the album cover and number of tracks made a huge difference. Of course you knew what you were buying. You had to like at least one of the songs on the CD to make that investment.

But here I have a CD that was just given to me today by a friend. I have no idea what is on it but it makes it more fun. This is an exciting surprise which is exactly how we should listen to music - with fresh ears and no prior preconceptions.
