Scarecrow in a residential area

I happened to find a small rice field when I was walking around in a residential area in Tokyo to take some photos. The rice field was surrounded by ordinary houses and it was quite strange to find a scarecrow in the middle of the rice field.

As you may know, scarecrow is supposed to make crows stay away from the crops. The look of the scarecrow is like human, opening its arms wide, just like about to shout and attack the enemies.

But... it looks very funny with its face written some Japanese letters.
