Seals in the Salish Sea

Since my gimpy-oh-so annoying-wrist can't yet handle the oars, we took the little tin motor boat out today just to be on the water. (it's been 4 days!) Beautiful, almost warm! The seals in our bay haven't been around as much this summer but we know where to find them - one place is a little north of us at the Ballingall Islets, a nature preserve. Many pictures. Chose this because of the motion/spash, and the little gull in flight as well as at least 9 Harbor Seals, watching us. Also saw Cormorants and some Harlequin Ducks! (just not good enough to show...)
Sat afternoon at the Opera on the radio was Flying Dutchman--caught some of it while finished a book for Granddaughter Fiona in the studio.

Edit: I see that 1 year ago I blipped a seal in our bay. Today I didn't see any...humm
