World War Z

Well, we didn't see Brad Pitt or a Zombie, but did see some of the actors. H & I couldn't resist a trip into town to see how Glasgow city centre around George Square has been transformed into a Hollywood film set. This is a view along George Street towards the University of Strathclyde. Loads of trucks, pursuit vehicles, police cars, US adverts, street signs changed .... except can you spot what they've missed here?

We did see a tiny bit of action in Cochrane Street, but then "cut", as believe it or not there was too much sun.

George Square was essentially cut off, with pedestrian access only along the north side. The City Chambers is now the 5 star Liberty Grand hotel.

An artistic afternoon, with visits to the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow Print Studio and Street Level Photoworks, finishing up with tea and cake in the Trans Europe Cafe.
