copper top fungus
Was at Kailzie Gardens this afternoon with younger lad to join the Inverleith Petanque club for their match with Tweed Valley. Their piste must be in one of the lovelier locations in Scotland, and with perfect weather and generous hospitality, we had a very good few hours.
Walking over to the fishermen's hut by the trout pond for lunch, we passed some rather metallic-looking mushrooms below a small grove of silver birch.
ps Inverleith won the trophy5 games to 3; younger lad got a medal for being a member of the best team but he refused me permission to post a blip of him at the moment he pointed a boule up the piste for a near-perfect shot.
