A bust and rained out to boot.

Garage sale -
After a man bought a new refrigerator for his house, he needed to get rid of his old one, so he put it in his front yard with a sign on it that read, "Free to good home. If you want it, take it." For three days it sat there without even one person looking at it. He decided that people didn't trust any deal that looks too good to be true, so he put up a new sign that read, "For sale, $100." The next morning, it was gone!


In our case everything left over will be free tomorrow after we haul it to the town transfer station(rubbish dump) and deposit it at the Swap Shop.

We did sell some things, do feel good about the small bit of purging and could have a buyer for the old dining room table and chairs if the maybe buyer's offer on a new house goes through. She'll need a bigger table in that case, and she liked ours. I think the lack of customers mirrors the economy, there is zero cash to spend even on yard sale cheapies. Our customers were mostly older men looking for antiques. They left empty handed. We did make a couple of kids happy with a cheap price on a gumball machine and their mum went off smiling with a free Cowboy Junkies CD.

Off to the dump, I think this is our last yard sale, too much work for too little return and not enough funny customers to pass the time with.

Not to mention the RAIN!
