The Importance of Being Earnest - Part 5

Poor Joe. One measly mark off his A. I don't begin to understand how it works, he got A, B, A for the three modules, marked overall as a B (as I said yesterday, 319 marks with an A at 320). And yet, others had A, B, B and got overall A? Very confusing.

So, we're having a remark just in case the original marker was either at the beginning of their task or the end, and their mood changed through that process to be tougher at the beginning or visa versa (more likely after hours of marking for little recompense, their resolve or patience was waning).

Obviously any other year he will have still got his place, just this year with the fee hike, everyone wants to get in. We know many older kids of friends who got their places in past years on lower grades than Joe's. Not sure why the government didn't phase in the fee hikes or at the very least, give priority to this scholastic year for places, before all those who chose to have a fun gap year last time out!

Anyhow, despite this set-back, he and Vicki went off to join up with all their mates who were all celebrating their successes and smiled through the adversity in support of them all...intent on not putting a downer on proceedings for others in their moment of joy and celebration.

There are options, all is not doom and gloom. Not saying the last 24 hours has been easy. It hasn't. but they say every cloud has a silver lining.
