Dungarees

21months 29days

When Katie was small, she was given these dungarees. I adored them. The colour suited her beautifully too. So I hunted them down on ebay (I've done that with 2 other outfits that came from the same friend!). And she wore them for the first time today. They were huge on her and required the three inch turn up, but thankfully the cute lining allows for that to happen!

We had a really nice time playing at home for part of the morning, lots of time with her shape and peg board. She spent ages reading books and telling me about the pictures - she didnt want me to read to her. We had a parcel to deliver to a friend so went out mid morning. She fell asleep in the car, whilst we were stuck in traffic but woke afte 15minutes when I tried to put her in the buggy. She's not slept since!

We parked in tesco carpark, and as we got out the car she started asking to see the dog, over and over. She meant the dog ride that is inside the shop. We did a bit of pottering and got some lunch for her, before we began to walk back from town. Quite a few streets from the supermarket she started saying "where's the dog", asking random people who smiled at her too. She said to one lady "where's the dog?.. .dog's over there", pointing down the street in the direction of tescos. It was then a bit too late to let her sleep so it was full singing for the journey home before we went to see the Cousins.

She went utterly hyper after about 5minutes of being there and was bouncing off the sofas! She was thoroughly delighted to play with them all. We had some very yummy homemade cake, although she rejected it in favour of some chocolate fingers she spied. We had a play out in the garden - she ran round and round. And round. And round. She's a bit like a duracell bunny, my little lady. Mind you, she's just polished off the best part of half a french stick after all that.
