Gotchya!

I've been chasing superb fairy wrens for a year now trying to get a photo of the male as they are such a lovely blue (and I love the name). The only other 1/2 decent shot I had of a male was in its out of breeding plumage
Today I was lucky enough to have one come close enough, so here is one with its makeup on, getting ready for the action.

Male Superb Fairy wrens have been labelled as 'the least faithful birds in the world'. Females may be courted by up to 13 males in half an hour, and 76% of young are sired by males from outside the social group
