Think, try, share

Tynemouth

We all went to Tynemouth for the afternoon. A game of crazy golf followed by all of us paddling boats on the lake. Tea and cakes in the afternoon on Front Street.

This was where I schooled in the 70's and 80's. It was more Hogwarts then, more business park now. The Headmaster's house still looked very grand, more Chips than Dumbledore. I showed the kids where I used to stand when I had detention aka got caught, (smoking, fencing, racketeering etc, I prefer the word 'entrepreneurial').

I would move to Front Street tomorrow, partly for the memories as it was a great place to grow up but mainly because it is just so idyllic. I like the Victorian architecture, the proximity to the sea, the impressive Priory. I like the £750k price tags less.

Running off Front Street are some wonderful alleys that hint at stories. Names such as 'The Promenade' and this one 'The Grove.'

Oh and if you are on Front Street I would recommend Rene's for a cuppa.
