Jasper Fforde

My friend Helen and I went to see Jasper Fforde today at the book festival. I've read his Thursday Next series and Shades of Grey, which I think are amazing. He came across really well, very friendly and down-to-earth, and talked about how he often uses "narrative dares" which he has to write his way out of.

At the book signing I had him sign a couple of my sister's books for her, and he gave me a signed postcard as well. The picture is a little shaky because I was shaking from the excitement and nervousness (and the cold ...)!
