Sandcastle Lessons
There are lots of pictures of us at awkward angles digging and sweating and bending and grunting and sighing while we built this. I decided not to show you those. Instead, here is the amazing final product. It took three hours with 11 people building. We will probably never build anything this spectacular again, but you never know. We are hooked!!! We will go prepared with sand forms next year. We had so much fun!! People stopped and took pictures in front of our sand castle it was so fantastic.
A few days later, we built a pretty good sand castle with no forms with the knowledge we learned from this lesson. It was nothing close to as amazing as this, but when compared to what we could have done before lessons, it is was a masterpiece. We even got someone take a tourist picture in front of it. Score!!!
We worked hard. We made art. We are so proud of what we accomplished. It was hard to leave it there on the beach to get washed away by the ocean. We hated to think that some punk teenagers might have trashed it. We hope not. We hope it just slowly dissolved into the ocean. Sand castle making lessons. We highly recommend them!!!
