walking in the city

Neighbours (and acronyms)

This is ML, born in 1926, whom I've just met, queuing up with hundreds of other residents for a free clothes-line as part of the local Power Utility's 'save the planet' BS. Among other things, we discuss urban development, organic foods, and the recent labour strike by TTC public transit workers. He's that dry funny I really like and after we each get our freebies we shake hands in a "nice to meet you" way; ML disappears back through the crowd and I head to the IGA for milk.
