Along to the launch of two books tonight, one by Douglas Jackson (Defender of Rome) and one by James Douglas (The Doomsday Testament) - who are in fact one and the same.

Formerly assistant editor of the Scotsman, Doug is now having plenty of success as the writer of historical novels and, as James Douglas, his first thriller.

Caught up with a load of folk from previous workplaces so good fun all round.
