1st day......

This is Peggy's new school shoes.

They had their first ever walk to school this morning.

New, first school shoes have become a bit iconic in our house. They represent lots.

Our last wee lady on her first day of school.

As a teacher it's ironic that one of the most important pupils I know on one of the most important days of her education went through all this process without me being present. Bummer eh?

After a shaky start she looks and sounds like she had a grand time. She's a smart cookie. I'm sure she will be fine as she navigates through growing up.

But still felt like a bit of a crap Dad today! And thanks to DaisyGlaisy for dealing with it all.
