It's been a bit of a day.

I had arrived back last night not only soaked but also facing the news from a colleague that she had been denied boarding at Edinburgh airport for not being in possession of a visa which she didn't need. The wheels of the organisation have today ground into action to defend the rights of its member to visa free travel in Europe and she has been sent off on a new ticket while airlines are being savaged as we speak by really tenacious administrators. I was rather proud.

Meanwhile exercise regimes continued apace with another trip on the bike around the back of Arthur's Seat which yielded a great view of the Crags in morning light.

Come home a bit earlier to enjoy a well deserved gin!
