Hop Hop Hooray

Maria was kind enough to take us to the wonderfully named skinny dip falls today.
Just off a small hiking trail by the blue ridge parkway, they were cool, quiet and a lot of fun.

Above the small falls was a river filled with boulders and rocks, that disappeared way up into the mountains. I love 'boulder hopping' - running as fast as possible, jumping from rock to rock, constantly thinking on your feet as you jump, scramble and climb your way through a forest of huge rocks.
Maria's lovely dog Spider Lily decided to follow me up and so we raced until we were exhausted (and by 'we' I mean 'me'), made a stone pile then meandered our way back down.

Afterwards we stopped at a farmers market, leaving with an eclectic mix of tasty treats. Watermelon, cantaloupe, peaches and grapes, plus beet pickled eggs, cajun boiled peanuts and mint chocolate fudge were all purchased, some of which didn't even survive the short ride home.
