Locked gates

Stuck for inspiration today. Took this photo while walking the dog this morning. Too early for the Rose Garden gates to be unlocked. For some reason I liked the idea of the scented roses being behind a locked gate and inaccessible to anyone. I'm sure there's a metaphor in there, but I can't quite work out what it is.
