The Waiting Game...

I'd hoped to score a window seat on the way home so I could capture a decent sunset or similar... Instead I got stuck in the aisle so the view was rather less stellar.

Thankfully the flight was far from dull, however. Largely due to being followed from the runway upon our arrival by a fire engine because of a potential problem with our right-hand engine... Needless to say the crew kept us blissfully ignorant of the situation until after we'd disembarked.

(Side-note: See? Disembarked... That wasn't so hard, was it? What's all of this 'de-plane' nonsense?? It sounds like something you buy a special spray to deal with: "Oh, I'm just going to de-plane the garden, darling... Won't be long!" or "Oh hell, the dog needs de-plane-ing again".)

This, then was my 'Backup Blip' which I took from the departure lounge... A pretty impressive bank of cloud rolling in, just in time to make our climb out of Manchester nice and bumpy!
