Log fired pizzeria

We had dinner in La Favorita this evening. There are a number of things to celebrate, the end of the school holidays, No.2 son staring high school tomorrow, No.1 son gaining some good results in standard grade exams, me being nearly 45 and BoundaryDweller on managing to get in a successful island hopping break with No.2 son.

Only the boys had pizza. My crab and shrimp pasta crepes came with a large langoustine crawling up them. No. 1 son's calzone was of a greater volume than his chest cavity, I'm not sure how he managed to finish it, No.2's pizza was considerably larger than his head and he had to bring two slices home with him so he could squeeze in a pudding. BoundaryDweller's sole wrapped asparagus was given 9/10.

The place was really busy for a Tuesday and very noisy. They now have a takeaway place next door as well as Vittorio's further up Leith Walk and another on George IV Bridge. Well worth a visit to any of them.
