Whitewater
Today's the day ........................ to be turbulent
What a difference in the River Kent from the last time I walked along its banks. When I took this picture, the flow of water was very gentle and I could see stones and weed right down on the riverbed.
Today, after all the rain of late, the Kent was a raging torrent of churning water. The level of the river had risen by several feet and gone were the little islands of pebbles in the middle that the ducks sometimes rest on.
It was really quite impressive and a bit hypnotic watching the water rush over the weir. I could have stayed and watched it for ages. Shame I had to go back to work ...........................
