The great escape!

After an abortive attempt at launching yesterday and finding that water was spurting through the hull when we did - we had to pull her up the slip again and weld another plate to her bottom; we finally managed to launch her successfully again today and take her up the harbour past the little boxes and the SS Great Britain to her mooring. It has been a worrying and expensive two weeks, more so because it was so unexpected - 3 teams of welders worked to plate the hull around what was her fish hold. So now my baby waits for a new owner to cherish her but before then I have to clean her up again, put her flooring back and re-carpet. Woman's work is never done

She looks even larger out of the water
