A privilege for small people?
In some countries, Australia, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Finland 100% of the adult population can read.
In Britain, Hungary, Germany, France and Japan 99% of the adult population can read.
In Nepal 14% of women and 41% of men can read. In Somalia 14% of women, 36% of men and in Niger only 7% of the women and 21% of the men have been to school and learnt to read.
Is this something we take for granted?
