Siberian window

Day 6: Arrival in Irkutsk, and after a 2 hour drive down unmade roads lined with beautiful forest and wild flowers, we are by Lake Baikal, the world's deepest lake, and largest freshwater lake. We stayed in a very small village called Bolshoe Goloustnoe in a homestay- a small, comfortable but basic house with no plumbing. The toilet is in a hut in the garden, and washing means taking a daily sauna in the sauna house (banya). Tranquil and beautiful place.
