Annoyances

I left this on the table this morning when I went out to attempt to take some timelapse shots. I humped quite a lot of gear up a hill to get a good vantage point before realising that I had left it on the table. The reason being that the E-P1, despite many good features, requires you to remove the quick release plate to access he battery/card compartment. Which I have to do to charge the battery in preparation for a timelapse shoot ands it doesn't have a power input. Grrr!

That was the first annoyance. Second was dropping £3.20 in the slot on the bus and finding out when I changed buses that the driver had only given me a single ticket. I definitely asked for a dayticket and to be honest, there are ony two possible tickets to give on Lothian buses (for an adult) and it surely can't be rocket science to work out that even if I was misheard, £3.20 means I want a dayticket. This resulted in much extra walking as I resented the thought of having to get £10 from a cashpoint, then buy something (as Lothian buses do not give change) that resulted in me having £3.20 and buy another ticket for a total cost of around £8 for the privilege of riding on the bus for the day.

Which lead to the third annoyance, the bloody tourists! I missed the festival mayhem last year as I was working in Peebles, and the year before I was working in Glasgow. And the year before that I wasn't even working. After 10 years here I still can't quite believe the number of extra people that August brings.

Fourth and rather minor annoyance was that all the walking played havoc with my arthritic hip and led to much laying down with various leg sections pulled in various directions to ease the pain.

And to top it off as I lay in bed I thought I could feel the first ticklings of a summer cold, brought about by all those tourists no doubt...
