Eyes Without a Face

I've been thinking about the masks we wear and what we hide behind them and this idea popped into my head - that we might take our masks off and there's nothing underneath.

I know some people don't like images that have been "faffed with" like this or that use photography for art, not to record and document. I like photography for both and it's my main method for self-expression.

So, I'm not sure how well it will sit here and I may need to move it to 500px - I have to admit that it made me feel a bit queasy when I saw the final version!

And yes, yes that is indeed a Billy Idol song title :-)

Speaking of songs - I was shocked last night on University Challenge when one of the questions was a clip from a song and they had to identify the singer and song title. It was Madonna's La Isla Bonita. After a loooooong time, one of the teams just about guessed it was Madonna, but noone got the song title. I felt old....
